Le laquage s'effectue par poudrage électrostatique après une préparation du support qui assure une très bonne adhérence du revêtement. La préparation des pièces en aluminium consiste à traiter successivement les pièces dans des bains de dégraissage, désoxydation, puis chromatation (conversion), et rinçage poussé à l'eau déminéralisée.
